It was ok in the 90s to overthrow the board and have protests week in and week out? So far in this calendar year Iíve spent over £1k of very hard earned money to watch Celtic, fans have every right to go and protest. The board is full of tossers and Lennon has let himself down a bagful by shite talking through interviews. The club has been set back years by this season already.

If I was in Glasgow, Iíd be protesting to.

Agree.

Everybody saw this coming...apart, it seems, Lennon, Lawell and the board.  They are completely out of touch with public feeling on this.

In their own wee bubble.

Limerick seem to have another gear in them - just seem to keep teams at arms length.

Good bench also as well as a good range of scorers all over the pitch.

Lennon, if hes a Celtic man, should resign tonight.

Otherwise he's a moneygrabber, who puts himself above Celtic.

G. Hegarty takes about 20 steps every time.

Most lads take 10.

The two recent titles he won. One was handed on a plate by Rodgers and the second was handed on a plate by Covid 19.

nonsense - they were miles ahead when covid struck. If it hadn't been for covid slippy would have been sacked

Good chance Lennon has handed Stevie G his first trophy - well done Lennon.

He should have walked 2 weeks ago for sure.  He'll come out with his usual waffle after the game, we were chasing the game and got caught out, blah, blah, blah. A waffler.

Antrim / Re: ANTRIM HURLING

Is there anybody else to come back into the Antrim squad or are they currently at full strength?

Hard for teams to bridge that gap in 1B on a consistent basis, year after year.  That group of Antrim, Carlow and Kerry etc. is very competitive - a great competition in itself.

But it would be good to see the 'big' teams in Ballycastle etc. next year.

Lennon is a waffler - more waffle in the press conference this evening.  He hasn't a clue. All sorts of excuses, even blaming the virus.  He's doing himself no favours.

The board got Rogers in when the Rangers board were jumping up and down in the directors' box after a derby match - rubbing their nose in it.  The board went straight and got BR.  Weren't going to take it anymore.

Nothing to how they're going to rub Celtic noses in it in a few months unless things change in the next week.

Why did they not just build an extra lane each side of M50 when it was being build?

I see it on motorways now - another 6 foot either side and they could have another lane in.  Maybe not finish it competely but have itready to go in a year say.  All the work has been done and 6 ft either side wouldn't cost much extra.

Lennon needs to resign. Simple as.

If he wants success for the club this year, he needs to hand in his notice.
If he resigns he wont get a payday. Who would Celtic replace him with?

Is he a Celtic man or not....he should do the right thing now and hand the letter in.  The more he hangs on, the worse it'll be and he'll lose all the respect.

He should do the right thing.

People are giving out about the GB for doing this - the point is that this year is the year in a lifetime i.e. the 10 in a row. Probably never to get a chance again.

Time is of the essence - the GB are not going to hang about until March and then say, right Lennon, you should go.  Too late at that stage to save 10iar.

Any other season, this might rumble on but time is of the essence this year.

Best of luck.

Surprised to see a joint management setup, generally don't think these type of ventures are too successful.

Hopefully they can bring a freshness to the squad and new ideas. Dooher is one of our greats and I'm sure he will be a big inspiration to a lot of our younger players?

Is Dooher an uncle of McShane's or something like that?

Has Dooher managed any clubs?

Laois / Re: Leinster Senior Hurling Championship 2020
« on: November 25, 2020, 11:06:27 PM »
Probably two threads / conversations on the go here (1) Our Senior hurling manager (2) Structures for Hurling Development in the county, number 2 needs a lot of discussion and planning & good people back involved ( Cheddar, Pat etc & more GDA positions filled and working )

Number 1 , some ideas, Other than some names already thrown out by Laois Today & Leinster Express

Jeff Lynskey from Galway ( Would also have a very educated input for our Development structures, has done brilliant work in Galway underage )
Willie Maher, highly regarded in Tipp Circles, just left the Cuala Job after two successful years
Darragh Egan , may be tempted like Eddie to cut his teeth now at inter county management
Stephen Frampton - Ballygunner & Waterford
Pat Ryan Current Cork U20 Manager, possibly already lined up for the Cork job in next year or so
Diarmuid O Sullivan, good experience gained in the Cork set up, high profile
Brendan Bugler ? very new to coaching but was on Davys ticket in Clare
Declan Fanning , highly thought of coach with Tipp & Na Piarsaigh (Maybe with Ken Hogan managing?)
Brendan Cummins
Liam Dunne / Willie Cleary Wexford

Just a few ideas. The players will move on quickly so we need to be moving on this immediately with a selection panel put in place and get moving,

Lynskey is waiting for the galway job, brilliant guy,not a hope of him going to Laois

Maher gone to bennetsbridge

Daragh, has a big back room of people reporting into him in the tipp setup,he wouldnít have that problem with laois for starters, still involved hugely with Kiladangan, young family and a school principal

Frampton is first year with Cahill and Bevans, every chance Waterford could win the all ireland this year or next.

Pat ryan in line for cork job soon

The Rock, havenít seen any evidence of what he could bring

Bugler, green and when he went for an interview in Portlaoise CBS they didnít even know who he was

Fanning involved with Killenaule, doubtful if Ken wants to finally bury his management career

Cummins supposed to have been part of the Kerry set up last weekend instead looked after his media career but then again Laois let brennan do the same
they didnt know who he was ? As a teacher ?

Says more about the school than Bugler.

An outside bet, Darren Gleeson of Antrim.  Hr has them going really well and Laois a bit closer than the north.

The issue of Dublin and money comes up regularly.

My opinion is that this is a one off talented group of players who have come along at the right time.  Problem is now that they are at the top, all they need is one or two new players to stay there, at thst high level.

Regards the money and funding re: the footballers, the question that I have is why are their hurlers, with the same "benefits" not wining Leinster with their B team and winning 5 in a row Liam Mc Carthys?

I think it's time people stop whinging about Dublin get this and that etc. and get their own county into a bit of shape. No excuses - put the work in at club level.

I'm not a Dub btw.

Where are u from?

As stated, not from Dublin.
