Lads, I was watching Match of the Day on BBC last night, and the League MOTD that came on afterwards. When the highlights of the other games, the roundup, was on, I'm convinced I heard Nick Halling doing the reports. Is he gone from Sky? Do they allow their NFL guy to do BBC work for soccer?

If he's left, what does that imply about the NFL coverage. I wish they'd release some info...
when does the league start is it next week ? if so you would think that sky would announce some news about it

Thursday week, it's looking grim.

Checked the EPG on Sky, ESPN is showing Clemson and Georgia Tech next Thursday night - If there's any hope its that Sky Sports 2 is showing Total Access until 1 o clock and there's no further information after 1 yet - normally the Thursday night programme started at 1am last year - fingers crossed we should know in a couple of hours whether it's yay or nay

There's a 3.5 hours slot on Sky Sports 2 with TBA on it at the time of the Steelers v Titans next Thursday night so Sky must be fairly confident....

That's what I'm thinking Declan.

However, as a member of the GAABFNFLPA*, I am imposing a communications blackout until my demands for 5% of NFL income is diverted to me for holidays and cars instituting Player Welfare schemes such as free stat trackers, sponsored draft kits, and Sky Sports to all players.

*GAA Board Fantasy National Football League Players' Association.

How ya getting on with the demands AZ? Any joy yet? Failing that, any word of the draft?

Good stuff, I thought last year was fairly good - maybe though, rather than having separate sections, you could do a division 1 and division 2 based on last years rankings  ;)

Stick my name down anyway.

I'd be inclined to agree. I will not unlock the bottom 6 teams in each conference, but I will allow moves as normal for the top 4, and the second tier in each.

Also, just as a reminder before the playoffs start.

When we have our Division Champions after Week 17 of the NFL Season, the GAA Board Superbowl will take place over the playoffs.

(the rest of ye can enter as well if you like)

For each playoff game, the contenders will be asked to pick a winner, and a winning margin.

If you get both the winning team, and the margin exactly right, you will get +25 points.
If you get the winning team right, but the margin wrong, you lose a point for every point you are out by, until you reach 0.
If you get the winning team wrong, you get -25.

I will ask the contenders to email me with their picks so that there is no chance of the leader simply following the other person's picks.

In the unlikely scenario that I win the Payton Conference, I will allow the team I beat in the final to be the Payton representative, as I have 2 teams which is unfair. If my 'A' team had won, I would allow myself go forward with them.

To finish, the following is an example of the above.

Arizona 26 - Seattle 20

Player A picked Arizona by 6 points = +25 points
Player B picked Arizona by 15 points = +16 points (25 - 9)
Player C picked Arizona by 40 points = +0 points (25 - 34 capped at 0)
Player D picked Seattle by 3 points = -25 points.

If the 'B' team wins the Peyton, I don't see why anyone should have a problem with you going through to the finals.

It definitely smacked of throwing the game and I thought I'd ask the question since I'm not the only one it affected. But, I'm sure karmic justice will take effect between now and Sunday  :D

Perhaps I'm being slightly cynical because I have to play him this weekend, but I call shenanigans on 'thewobbler'.

Leaving out Kurt Warner, Chris Johnston and Marshawn Lynch last week, and what's particularly galling is not actually starting any QB when Warner has played every other week from early on and would have won him last weeks game.

I also don't recall making a single move all season until today.

I got 159 earlier in the season I think. I've also seen chargersabu in the high 150's and I don't think were the only ones in Montana to go that high.

I need Philly to start giving Westbrook the damn ball, injured or not! Matt forte has to be my best draft pick by a mile though i reached a little bit for a rookie but he's been great. Steve slaton has been a deadly FA pick up too.

How bout everyone else?

166!! ;D

Pah, 167.32 and that was after Ryan Grant scored -0.20

Not particularly happy that some weekends that the leagues are locked and others it's open for the entire duration. It certainly didn't do me any favours this week.

Just a quick point, surely the Payton conference is the stronger division considering that you've got the 3 previous Superbowl winners and the highest ever regular season points scorer involved  :P

Good stuff, the changes are all pretty reasonable and if you're able to make the draft you should be pretty competitive.

On a related note, who all is heading to Wembley - fingers crossed for the second lottery on Friday morning.
