They are tring to convince themselves that it can't happen again!
The big three (Liverpool,City and Chelsea) all will strengthen and I expect the gap to the rest to get bigger.

Everton to finish fourth and get knocked out of the CL playoff by Tractor Works Leningrad.

This was Anfield in the build-up to kick off on Sunday.  Goosebump stuff.

Hard to see how the Liverpool players could not be inspired by this.  Would expect the sound at the Man city and Chelsea games to be something else again.
That's just, like your opinion man.

God, Terry McDermot has let himself go a bit, hasn't he.

Im a bit worried about Andy Carroll on Sunday. I think he is well capable of bullying Daniel Agger, whilst Skrtel has a habit of manhandling big target men when assigned the role.
Rodgers has adjusted his formation & personnel beautifully this last few months. He has got all the big calls correct - Allen, Coutinho & Sterling have come in & out of the team depending on who were playing & where.

Normally you wouldn't really t**ker with a defence that's just kept a clean sheet, but... Id like to see Sakho come in for Agger on Sunday. I think he is the best Centre half we have at winning headers & defending in the air. Horses for course's and all that.

Christ here we go again, he's at West Ham for a reason, he's shit. Another 3 points and the march is on. I stated a couple of years ago when he done the fly on the wall show for tv that he came across with a man with a plan and with him being a Carnlough Co. Antrim man I hope he has success, preferable with another club but I can't begrudge the fella his moment
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought. Ea

Andy Carroll and Downing to both score in a 2-1 win for the Hammers.
Can't see any other outcome to be honest.

Joe Cole to come off the bench and create Downings winner, 89th minute

There was a great article on F365 this week pointing out the folly of trying to pick out the easy wins from the banana skins in the run-in. Particularly chilling with respect to tomorrow's game is this bit:

QuoteAs anyone who has tried to put together an accumulator will tell you, predicting four results accurately is fiendishly difficult; the idea that anyone can call 18 games (Chelsea's six, City's eight, Liverpool's four excluding the games against the others) close to correctly is true fantasy football.

Nor does your memory need to be especially long to recall unexpected setbacks derailing the elite. Younger readers may be interested to know that back in the years when Manchester United were title contenders, they threw away an eight-point lead over the final six matches of the 2011-12 season.

Manchester City always had a home derby to look forward to but still their cause looked hopeless after a three-match winless run culminated in defeat at Arsenal on 8 April. Five weeks later it was "Sergio AGUEEEERRRROOOO" time.

United's 4-4 home draw with Everton has especial resonance, initially because of the drama and the fact if put City's fate back in their hands, and now because it remains arguably David Moyes' best result at Old Trafford (and maybe helped him get the job a year later). But first came an even more unexpected blow for Sir Alex Ferguson's side at Wigan.

A draw for Roberto Martinez's side would have been a surprise: Wigan had played United 14 times and lost 14 times. But the profoundly unexpected happened as United lost their cushion to Shaun Maloney's goal, opening the way for Everton's comeback from 4-2 down to leave Ferguson's team vulnerable to Vincent Kompany's Eastlands winner. The fact that City then came so desperately close to blowing it at home to QPR should be another reminder that no match is as straightforward as it appears.
