IF SON happens to play and has a bad game, people will say why the f**k did he play him when AN OTHER was sitting on the bench and has been part of the panel all year, and if Tyrone happened to get beat and Mickey sticks with his trusted 15 or 16 players, people will say why the f**k didnt he put SON on, thats why im calling it a poison chalice, Not that mickey will care what people will say, but it will happen, I dont think Tyrone need  him

I have never heard such dogs dung! this is a BAD move I would be a big Mickey Harte fan but this throws up all sorts of quandries.

Don't you think Mickey Harte has considered ALL these quandries?   Whatever thought you have given it over the past couple of hours, MH will have given for weeks if not months and fully considered the pros & cons.  Winning the AI is what matters tho. 

The pub 'know-it-alls', mainly based in East Tyrone, are deilighted now as they have now been given a new knife to stab MH with should we not win the AIF. 

We are in an AIF and the best forward in Ireland is fit again and able to join the panel.   I doubt if any starting forward who has cemented his place will lose it as a result.  

If O'Neill is not required he may not even play, however he gives a fantastic option from the bench and anyone who can't see this is blind.   IF we don't win it tho, it will be nothing to do with SO'N re-entering the panel.

Its Interesting that most of the posts concerned about the impact and the effect of this decision are those from other counties.  The vast vast majority of Tyrone posters are delighted with the news.

Whats all this concern about his fitness. If hes not fit he wont play. This has obviously been in the off for some time as he has suppossedly been training the last 3 weeks.

I was doing my usual 5am morning feed this morning when I read the news and I thought I was just so sleep starved that I was dreaming again.
Then Jamie gave me a kick as I dropped his bottle and said his first word

Normally I'd shout at the wife
"Who the hell is Stevie" but I awoke from my slumber and starting jumping around the room to Jamie's amusement.

I was talking to his brother and sister at the match on Sunday and they said yeah he gets tortured everywhere he goes about making a comeback and I said he should just tell everyone he's going to Aus.

I must say I really believe my clubmates back home didn't know about it either or else they've better than I thought at keeping it quiet
As for you folk that say its unfair to some squad members and gonna backfire on the whole team then maybe but isn't it better to have him on board than not on board

Its like the equivalent to Argentina getting back Maradona for the World Cup final after he's been out all year on the RAZZ.
A half fit Stevie is worth at least 3 points as long as the right ball is played into him and I think we have enough brains and ball players to make that happen.

I'd say he'll come on 2nd half IF NEEDED but I'd love to see a FF line of Stevie, Sean & Tommy with Dooher, McCullagh & McGuigan on the 40 with Joey going to MF in the 2nd half

Now I'm looking forward to the 21st as Kerry had the momentum boost of Galvin and Darragh coming back

It's understandable that Tyrone fans are getting excited about O'Neill's return, maybe outsiders can give a more balanced view on it. I remember being just as excited about Marsden's return last year and while I'm a huge Marsden fan, I'd say the majority would agree it didn't work out for him. This is a similar situation.
