Not sure how it works

I normally back him but you can't miss a 2.5 and a 3.5 foot putt on the back 9 and expect to win a Major.

Also the driver on 18 was inexplicable!

I've defended him before but you can't defend that. That was a meltdown after which there will be a huge amount of scar tissue. Just as well for him that he won his majors early in his career.

Milltown you don't always have to go against the grain. Even the biggest Rory fan wouldnt argue he bottled that. But I know you will....

Bryson was the best all week and showed it at the end

I've defended him before but you can't defend that. That was a meltdown after which there will be a huge amount of scar tissue. Just as well for him that he won his majors early in his career.

He reacted well to the Masters meltdown so you'd hope this can drive him as it's a similar situation. Will take a while to get over though!

It's not that simple.

He was 2 ahead. His nerve went. He made mistakes he rarely makes. Bryson made one too.

Rory will come out of this okay.

He's nearly always in contention. He's versatile enough to do regardless of the course or conditions.

It won't be long til it falls his way.

He did bottle it tonight. The earlier missed putt rather than the latter one, which was tougher.

But all 180 odd players bottled somewhere in Pinehurst this week, including the winner.

What a golf course.
