good omen on this one - fergal doherty never played the last day against galway - patsy bradley and conway that time - so why not muldoon and conway?

Oakleafer1993

second thoughts maybe paddy crozier should call doherty's brother and ask him to call the wedding off until next week?.... ;)

Dodgy enough alright, some finish though...has a ferocious belt of a ball...

passing into the forwards is dire
very poor so far
galway are bering e bit cynical though
dont know how gilkligan managed to kick the ball with his left then connect with top of galway mans head with his right and then land all his (left foot) studs on the galway mans body - theres a word for that :o

belleaqua

Terrible decision from the ref.... should have been a definite penalty for Meehan...

belleaqua

Cracker of a goal for Joyce! Galway 2-6 Derry 0-7

An Fhairche Abu

Galway should have this wrapped up already, Derry keeper has made some great saves.

4 points in it again. 2-7 to 0-9.

belleaqua

3-7 to 0-10...Mattie Clancy...super finish. Galway should have scored 5 goals...

Gaway where the better team - we should have been beaen by more. Mid field was non-existent - thats right key element in bellaghy with hang over 8)

Full back line roasted - mcloy and mcguckian - why does paddy crozier persist with that balloon francie mceldowney?......he is no county player. Diver and gerlad o'kane should have been on earlier. Murphy did nothing. Did paddy bradley go to the wedding too? -- never seen him the whole match. Deeks was the only player in the forward line who tried.

Derry yet again showed that when PB is kept quiet, the whole team is kept quiet. I never realistically expected to come out of Pearse stadium with 2 points, but the manner of the defeat is notable. Too many schoolboy errors. How many times did we kick the ball straight to the opposition? How many times did we drop the ball into the keepers arms? We couldn't buy a ball in the middle!!

Think you're bein sore on Twin, he certainly made some mistakes, but he wasn't on his own by any means. He, at least showed a bit of fight and passion. Skinner took the wrong option several times, but at least he was converting some of them. I'd have taken Paddy off before Eoin.

The soft penalty doesn't take away the fact that Galway were the better side, they were denied possibly a more valid one later on and young Deighan couldn't do anything about the 2nd 2 goals, defence all over the place. Once galway ran at them, they had no cohesion, it was panic stations. No doubt, we missed Doc in a big way.

SuperHans

god we were bad today, the defence got roasted. crozier should have made the subs earlier. ive never seen paddy b so bad in my life. At least mceldowney battled away. too many boys lost their individual battles, some boys just not up to the required standard - mcbride and mciver in particular

One more comment. Joyce is still a class act!! The guy is around over 10 years at the top level and he's just as good as ever. Fantastic!!
