That's just, like your opinion man.

To be able to enjoy 45 mins of live sports, I need to buy a house with a basement, buy a chair with strong enough timbers to withstand the struggle of an irate partner and use enough duck tape to restrain a demon. Or I could stay single.
Never underestimate the power of complaining

Just to pivot the conversation slightly, anyone ever got this setup? What's the best way of doing it? She'd would be maybe 8metres away from a hotspot, through one external wall with foil backed insulation.

I've a setup at the bottom of the garden. Have a powerline adaptor, TP link, Tenda etc (wifi antenna and ethernet ports), gets me full broadband down in the 'doghouse'...£30/£40.

We've a garden house/room (a bit of an expensive upgrade on a man shed!).  Have an internet cable underground to it from the house, with a router.

Should have done this in hindsight but I only ran power down to it. Might have to go down the powerline adapter route.
Wasn't sure what speeds they can carry but from looking online they can do up to 1000mbps.

Wouldn't cost a fortune to run a cable to it if needed.

Good to know that. Hopefully moving house to a doer upper and there is a spot we are likely to put an outdoor office. May just get it cut when doing the work

It's getting across new tarmac though. Don't want to be cutting that up.

Ah ok.  I have it running along the wall then dug down under the garden (which is handy enough).  150-200 quid would probably cover somebody to do it.
