Munster Makes it easier for Big two!

I believe it to be true all right.  With 5 teams in the Munster Hurling Championship, the 2 teams that play in the 1st Round match are at a considerable disadvantage compared to the 3 sides that get byes to the Semi Finals.   I think that Waterford would really like a bye to the Semi Final.  They may still get it by the luck of the draw, but would sure of it with a seeded draw.   The original motion was for a seeded draw in both Hurling and Football, but after the Football was agreed, the Hurling seemingly was dropped.  That is how Waterford got caught out.

Still though, with the way the hurling championship is set up even taking into account this years changes, it doesn't appear to me to be a particularly attractive 'carrot' for the WCB. Though if it is true it makes it an even worse decision by the Waterford delegates as they we're knowingly selling out their football team to assist(in their opinion) the hurling team.
