Derrys traditional home jersey is white. ??
Not this past few years. Players preferred playing in red so they changed around 2021/2022.

I don't think so. I think their traditional jersey was red with a white hoop, but they have undoubtedly been associated with the white jersey for the years I've been watching football from the 1970s.

Images from the 1958 final show Derry in the red with the white band.

We have been using MFC for club leisurewear for 8 odd years now, and the quality is excellent apart from items with zips - we've had constant complaints. Some sizing inconsistencies too but their client & customer service has been first class in dealing with these both issues.

O'Neills is best for playing jerseys but their account management / customer service is very below par.

I have noticed for years that when O'Neills bring out a new design (jerseys or leisurewear), the competitors tend to copy the designs rather than create out their own ranges. Maybe comes down to internal resources with O'Neills having a dedicated design team.

Random one - but will we ever see a return to long sleeve jerseys?

A design department dedicated to plagiarising Adidas where possible, O'Neills blow hot and cold, some great stuff, some meh stop copying soccer stuff, and some downright muck for the plastic paddies

Not with the jerseys being as tight as they are now anyway. In my last year playing I had managed to just about stay in good enough shape for the tight jerseys but they landed with new keepers jerseys which had long sleeves - it was like they had forgot that your hand had to go through the sleeve to get to the cuff. Me the other keeper had to pull each others sleeves up ffs. I was tempted to cut the sleeves off but the kitman would've shot me

Overall though the skin under the jersey is a much better job than the old long sleeve.

Weren't they sued by Adidas way back in the day?

Being US-based, if I want some Donegal gear with the three stripes, given that I don't get home too often, I have to have someone buy it for me and ship it. O'Neills will only (directly) sell me the two striped "international" version.

Not sure if the prohibition applies if you go through a third party like Elvery's or, for Donegal people, Michael Murphy Sports.

Sued but over the 3 stripes. But O'Neill's were using it prior to Adidas so they are allowed to sell the 3 stripes in Ireland. But not abroad.
