Enjoyable game, Mayo did very well after going so far behind and it's there for them.

Ref letting it go rightly, would need to be cuter for the Kerry men grabbing the tacklers arm and falling to the ground though.

Charging by defender/keeper in small square = penalty.

Can't remember any keeper ever being done for that though.

Have to give Mayo serious credit, thought they were really up against it after the goal, but they responded very well. Both sides missed some scoreable points but Mayo would have to be very happy with that given they'll be kicking into Canal End 2nd half

Is it not a myth that keeper can't be tackled in small square?
Was he not out of the square then?

Only time DC has been seen or mentioned.

Terrific response from Mayo. Set up for a cracking 2nd half.

Mayo will surely get tired from their work rate eventually and Kerry will pick them off down the home strait.

Cheers. Thought it would be and like you say never saw it given. Just another rule ignored by refs

OakLeaf

The keeper is like any other player with respect to the tackle. The only exception is that you can't shoulder charge the keeper inside the small square. They tend to get an easy run from referees though.

Charging by defender/keeper in either the big or small square is a penalty tbf

Mayo better team after first 15. Kerry cant deal with their high press.

Expect Mayo to win by 3 or 4.

Wildweasel74

Another rule, u just after asking earlier if u can tackle the Keeper in the small square.

Captain Obvious

Mayo's All-Ireland final to lose now that they will be playing into canal scoring end.

Yeah thats maybe the worry. Been fantastic so far

Why does David Clifford always get away with a push in the face on opponent when he has the ball. Equivalent of Murphy and his closed fist tackle.
