Be like a home game for the Donegal men...

Muff are practically a Derry City club aren't they?

No, not even remotely

Is there not only a few miles between them and Steelstown? Close enough.

Geographically there's not a great distance between them.. Ask anyone from Muff if they're 'practically a Derry City club' and you'll get a swift answer

Brendan

Nobody wants to be lumped in with the townies, same on the other side of the lough with The Manus and Vale etc...

The filling station of Muff is essentially in the metropolitan area of Derry though?... Not sure where the pitch is though.

It's a bit like limerick city it's spills over into Clare.

No it's not

Well it's not too far away from it... There's no open country when you drive from one to the other

I wouldn't expect them to admit to it because they're from Donegal the same way people from the Meath side of Drogheda wouldn't call themselves Louth

If you want exact stats.

Steelstown GAA Pitch to Muff Village is 2.5 Miles as the crow flies.

And 0.8 Miles from the Donegal Border at the closest point.

I live in Muff, not the village but the townland and its exactly 1.6 mile to our club (Steelstown). Its probably  another mile or so in to the village. Muffs pitch is at the other side out of the village. Id say pitch to pitch could only be 5miles max. There is plenty of ones from our club and the city that live in Muff.

6 miles or just over pitch to pitch, I'd cycle those roads regularly. Muff, district of Derry City, NoI

Yeah between 5 and 6 miles. Muff Village is nearly as close to Steelstown Pitch as their own pitch according to Google Earth.

I know the area well as I live here, regardless, original point that Naomh Padraig is practically a Derry City club is still nonsense.
