So all the 20 year olds will be going to this instead of a nightclub
It actually isn't. You get a lot for that. The €181 is saucy

what does the 500 ticket get you?
I like oasis, but not a chance would i spend 500 on a ticket to see them.

Parking, a seat, food, no queuing. exclusive merchandise and stuff. Every big show has a vvip package.

That all sounds great but unfortunately you still have to listen to Oasis.

Dear enough but if you're going to one gig or so every year, it might be value.

I'd say if you add up all your GAA match tickets, between club and inter-county every year, it'd soon get near £500 I'd say. Never mind diesel and food etc.

I wonder how much a group would make out of one Croke Park gig.

All tickets sold out for every concert. Either the prices were exactly right , or they were too cheap. It's not a charity gig, and attendance is entirely optional.

If you're a tour accountant yes. For punters the tickets are expensive but Oasis have such a huge following ( me included) that the shows will sell out, especially as so many missed but in the initially gouge last year. We had Cardiff tix last year, £250 for a regular standing, too dear for travel etc so passed them on to a couple of friends across the water

The basic tickets exactly twice what Metallica and GnR charged. But every major gig has a daft price top offering. For example, for €4k you get to have dinner with Clapton before the gig.

Does he cook the dinner?

Rock N Roll !!!!

From the Bunker

There is such a void in the market of decent young live bands.

What we are left with are old cronies doing come back gigs (or not going away gigs) and a plethora of cover bands filling out small venues.

Is Rock and Roll nearly dead?

Rock and roll is FOR children

Pretty difficult for a guitar band to make it now without some viral moment on TikTok etc.

The album, Single, Charts and band T-shirt culture is gone. There are no Goths, Metallers, Mods, Punks and so on. My teenage kids listen to random music and have little or no affinity to any artist.
