SpeculativeEffort

Why are these matches not all being played off together? It would make it all a bit more interesting. The whole thing will probably be sorted before the last games are played now.

Ballygowen

It would be the ideal scenario, like the last day of the premier league. but i assume its a shortage of referees and the greedy county board wanting all senior games in O'moore park.

Laoisred

It could make for good drama alright but to be fair to Laois County Boatd, it was set out upfront that each team got a Thursday match, Friday match, 2 on a Saturday and one on a Sunday (or something along those lines). They can't change and deviate from that mid - competition.
Looks like The Harps are the first team knocked out. The new format seems to have worked well.

Cbolla go through harps face into relegation both clubs could be down a few lads if the county board follow up on what happen last night.

SpeculativeEffort

A game played with real cut to it last night. The stuff at the end was silly but overall probably just a load of mouthing, pushing and shoving.

Harps really need to start winning games like those to build confidence.

They are capable but didn't ever really seem confident that they'd get the job done.

Laois man

If you look at the video it's more than pushing and shoving.

Ogie

Well I hope the referee that officiated that loves to dish out cards and lectures all year round does so now when it's warranted

Voice of tReason

Thought the referee did a solid job last night to be honest. Got the red card right, both penalties and pulled defenders up for off the ball pulling, dragging etc.

I fancied The Harps to win before the game. In some ways they've made progress this year but that'll hurt them.

Very hard to see past Camross or Rathdowney/Errill for the championship.

Verbal

Cant agree with you on the referee.
How many times is enough to stop the play.

Slow walk down the field (I can only assume for maximum attention) have a long chat with umpires and book people.

You can't get past the fact that it's all about him.

Laois man

Harps in relagation sfinal now but should stay up. I think Rdowney /Errill will play camross in senior B final and there will be no relagation.

Spiritof1915

Right battle in the park last night. Could of gone either way. Harps fragility in winning big games is still a problem. The gap is definitely closing though and you have to imagine that it will continue to even out over the next few years.
It's hard to describe where they are after this year. Beating two strong senior teams and losing to two so called weaker teams albeit with crazy tactics from the line.
Clough Ballacolla will go close but I think Camross will have to much fire power and hunger

Laoisred

Likely that CB could be down a couple for their next match after that finish. A lot of red card offences after the final whistle. Depends on referees report and what action county board take, if any.

Ballinakill made hard work of that tonight but they're through and stay senior. Rightly so, they've produced some good performances this year. They'll fancy themselves to get past Rosenalis, I don't see it though.

Abbeyleix must be asking themselves some hard questions this evening. To be in relegation following a league win, couple with some very poor performances. They'll stay up but a poor year.

The Harps are also in the same boat. I am fascinated with the way people talk about them on here sometimes, they do not win big games and haven't competed at this level for a long time. They've a conveyor belt of players but it seems most coming through are of a particular level.

From this point I see no one stopping Camross, Dowling and Keyes are in great form and they look like they've the bit between the teeth after a poor start.

Rathdowney Camross final

Verbal

I don't think Rathdowney & Camross can be final pairing?
They are on course to meet in the semi final.

They could meet in the PIntermediate final?

Lovely laois

I predict a camross/balacolla final or rosenallis might upset balacolla in a semi final.

In the PIHC I see camross v rathdowney erill

Can't see mountmellick beating Rathdowney second team and I think camross will have just enough to get over ballyfin
