He's English just before a WC year...Even if he had a average year it would be him.

But my argument is stat's prove it all. When they decide it and if he get's it because he scored 30 goals..sure that's a stat is it not.. Fair play he has had a  amazing this year...Take nothing away from him but its always decided on stats....If he get's it I could have no argument at all...

Because he was the best player there...and at the time the EPL were trying to attract foreign players there.....Should have been Bergkamp that year too.. Can you explain how Sheringham got it next year?
