Never tried this before, but I seem to have raised some heckles on the Derry - Antrim thread.

What a stupid question - Donaghy was the shining light of last years championship and now you are comparing him to Muldoon!! Wise up.....

Why is it stupid?  Are you agreeing with what I wrote on the Derry - Antrim thread or disagreeing with it? Who would you vote for?

If Muldoon was born in Kerry, would he be a real legend. If Donaghy was born in Derry would we be even talking about this? Also I would like to wait until the end of the season before reasssessing Donaghy

Muldoon on his day is a much better football player overall than Donaghy, who at the minute must repeat last year to get over one season wonder accusations.

On the flip side Muldoon only turns it on now and again and can be completely anonymous, espcecially in big games (Armagh v Derry in Casement springs to mind)

Ronan Clarke, much as I hate to admit it is far mnore effective target man on a consistent basis than either.............

Muldoon isnt a full forward.  i know he gets played there, but that is poor management, he wasnt played there as a minor or u-21

Fully agree
Donaghy is possibly a better target man (posession winner and passer)and goalscorer.
Muldoon the better footballer.

So technically I'd say to answer your question (basede on last years perf) - Donaghy.

But as he has tyronie blood, I refuse to vote.

That pretty much sums it up - in fairness to Enda, he's never made an impact like Donaghy - who has.  I would also add that I don't think Enda has the same level of fitness as Donaghy, that may have been down to various injuries over the years.

Enda Muldoon is a fantastically gifted footballer - I have saw him give a number of fantastic performances over the years. As has been stated in a few posts above he is not a full forward. He has not played well in a few high profile county games (as expected against Tyrone - he is a Tyrone man after all  ;)) but I think you will find a lot of these cases are when he was confined to the square. Its no coincidence Ballinderry won the All Ireland Club Title when McIvor gave him a free role to maximise his effectiveness.
As an out an out full forward Donaghy might snatch it if he goes on to produce the same level of performance as he did last year but for overall ability Muldoon wins at a canter.

Stranworst

I am not a big Muldoon fan but I picked him here purely because I think Donaghy is just a flash in the pan.

Few good games in the back end of last years championship and suddenly he's the messiah? Bollox

Whats he done this year apart from show himself up as a thug?

Enda on the other hand had a storming performance on Sunday and has done for years, class

Bensars

My vote would be for Muldoon.

A much more natural footballer. Donaghy had a great year last year but the question remains was it a one year wonder ? In Kerrys opening game against waterford ( a very weak side) he was largely annonymous .

However it would be a nice dilema to be in, if both palyers were in your squad

Enda Muldoon all day long without doubt.
