Another stereotypical diatribe.
And of course the Shinners are wonderful.
Dear God how can anyone be so brainwashed.
Cult is right.

I wonder are there many "free staters" who frequent this board who vote Sinn Fein?

I know it can be difficult to find a good politician worth voting for, but hard to imagine many on here voting for the Shinners given the privilege we have of seeing what they're actually like.

A right bunch of intolerant Nazis it would seem who can't cope with 26 Cos people not falling into line.

I wouldn't have thought SF wouldn't be the party of choice for the Free Staters. They'd be much more at home with the establishment FF, FG and Labour. Though in saying that it is difficult to know how anyone gets to see "what they're actually like". FFS the south blindly accepted censorship for years and now like little lambs tamely accept one man controlling over half the media output of the entire state, with the (Free) "State" broadcaster RTE accounting for much of the rest.

Seems to me you Free Staters are the ones who can't cope with a challenge to the established order.

Free State was abolished in 1937.
FF/FG/Lab got 101 seats, plus various centrist/Rightish Indos got another 15 or so.
Not much of a challenge to the "established order".

After yesterday, presume FF will put FG and Enda Kenny back in government for the moment and pull the trigger when it suits them. Either FG sticks with a weakened  EK or tears itself up with a leadership struggle (old school big farmers etc with Coveney............... liberal wing with Varadkar............. with a compromise  inter regnum candidate in the wings in Fitzgerald) . A real townie v culchie battle.

Either way I think FF will strike when it suits them and cause a new election in the next 12 months or so.

FF will aim to do it in such a way that Kenny doesn't get the blame.

Could be real House of Cards stuff - wait for an opportunity to come along where they can bring down the government and blame it on Varadkar or Coveney or both!

Ulick

But in real House of Cards style, none of it is likely to go to plan. One of these looming industrial disputes will bring the whole thing crashing down long before Micheál get a chance to pull the trigger.

Fixed that for you. We've had plenty of experience of their governments and how they've screwed the country over multiple times.

Or maybe you're just dumb enough to think they've done a wonderful job.

With the FFrs giddy with excitement at their rehabilitation from being uncleans they won't be able to resist sticking the knife in early.
1st unpopular decision that has to be taken they'll be off.

Poor nothing they spend plenty of money in others ways but it seems many of you Staters seemed  threatened that the Shinners have a different way of doing things. In saying that most of you should still hang your heads in shame for voting in the same corrupt fcukers again and again.

A great many are not voting for the same corrupt fcukers . However most are not voting for your mob so I guess you are a little bitter but let me tell you why we ain't .

The party is like a cult
The leader who is unquestioned by members has no grasp of economics.
The are naked populists who neither are left or right
People still see a whiff of sulphur
I could go on ;
Oh yes and the O6 is hardly a socialist shangrla .  Remember your mob are shit scared of power.

If I am bitter it's with good reason - what did you do with your 90 years of "freedom" in one part of my country? After exploiting every natural resource you exported it's manhood to end up as drunks on the streets of London, locked women away to be abused in the laundries and handed the children over to be defiled and raped by animals. I'll take no patronising bollocks from any Free Stater and more power to the Shinners if they're reminding you at every turn what a complete and useless shower of fcukers you've been for 90 years.

Oh and don't be mistaking my use of "Free State" as referring to all southerners, it's reserved for that special kind of feckless, West Brit peasant that has spent the years living up to the Punch cartoon depiction of the Irish.

You mean TDs?

An expert on the IMF he may not be but I expect Gerry Adams has a better grasp of social economics than almost every TD from FG, FF or PD since the Celtic Tiger.  The sort of economics that passes over the heads of pigs at the trough TDs and party leaders that has brought Ireland back to the brink of bankruptcy.    TDs who lined their pockets and became rich through corruption while the similarly corrupt Taoiseachs did likewise.  When the house of straw collapsed around them in 1998 few spoke out for the ordinary families who suffered because they milked the gravy train flat out for as long as they could.    At least Adams experienced the type of social deprivation while bringing up his own family that still exists completely needlessly in the 26 because of greed by previous govts.    Like SF or not but you can't say Adams or his team line their pockets unlike other parties.

The text in bold describes Enda. And it's more than economics he doesn't have a grasp on.

So Gerry hasn't got a holiday home in Donegal then? Or gets private medical treatment?
What have Sinn Féin ever done for ordinary people except try to cash in on discontent and anger?
Somehow I don't see Kenny or Martin being corrupt or living extravagant lifestyles.
An awful lot of FFrs and FGrs that I know haven't 2 Cents to rub together.
They aren't all Haugheys or Aherns
