I was wanting to take the family to stay over in Dublin for the Easter Weekend, can anyone suggest things to do/ sights to see / places to eat in the city centre suitable for a young family that isn't going to break the bank.

Phoenix Park, zoo, glasnevin cemetery,  obviously be the 1916 commemorations around O'Connell St
"Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall."

No wides

Zoo is a great day out - so much better than Belfast Zoo and you don't need legs like a tri-athlete to walk around it.

Tayto Park wouldn't be too far to go especially if you are staying on the Northside.

National Gallery, National Museum, Collins Barracks & Arbour Hill are all free and worth going to see.

Pygmalion in the Powerscourt shopping Centre is not bad for a feed.

Asal Mor

Maybe not one for the kids but Kilmainham Jail is fascinating.

Hardy

Likewise The Little Museum of Dublin on Stephen's Green.

Kids might enjoy the Natural History museum, instead of the zoo.
If at first you don't succeed, then goto Plan B
