I doubt if Holmes and Connelly will ever manage at inter county again because they'll have a problem trusting their players not to stab them in the back when they've achieved things like staying in Division 1, winning a provincial title by 26 points and reaching an All Ireland semi final replay. Can't survive trivial achievements like that, because your players will still betray you.

I'm saying almost no Mayo player outside of the younger O'Connor showed much of any vision in their passing in either Dublin game. It was hard to watch Mayo continually getting up to the 45 of Dublin and either pumping it into a triple-marked AOS or laterally hand-passing it along the length of the pitch. You can't blame that all on the managers, the skills the players displayed attacked left a lot to be desired.
