FermGael

Fermanagh's outside men in the last 20 years of the top of my head:

Pete McGrath
Peter Canavan
John Maughan
Terry Ferguson
Charlie Mulgrew
Pat King (technically from Tyrone but living in Lisnaskea most of his life)

Had our most successful period under Mulgrew.
All Ireland Semi final, division 1/2 of the national league for a couple of years.

Fermanagh men managing the team have been:

John O'Neill
Malachy O'Rourke ( Only Fermanagh manager ever not to lose an Ulster final)
Dom Corrigan

Corrigan got us to an All Ireland quarter final and Malachy got us to an Ulster final.

Fermanagh have had some spectacular success with outside manager's and internal men.
We have also had some spectacular failures with outside managers and internal men.
Wanted.  Forwards to take frees.
Not fussy.  Any sort of ability will be considered

Eugene Mcgee, Liam Austin,  Martin Mchugh, Mattie Kerrigan, Val Andrews, Tommy Carr, were with Cavan.

twohands!!!

Donegal - Gallagher is surely an outsider given he played with 2 different counties.

If McIntyre doesn't count in Galway hurling, Loughnane does.

you reckon?

Brian Mullans for a couple of years in the 90's would be Derry's only blow in...cant think of any others

twohands!!!

Armagh - I thinkEamonn Coleman was in charge for a short spell in the early 90s. Not 100%

blewuporstuffed

Charlie Mulgrew managed Fermanagh

Eamon Coleman too

twohands!!!

On Dublin - can't help but think that they might have had an outsider/blow-in in charge back in days of yore when they were regularly fielding teams with serious numbers of country lads.

Clare - Micko, John O' Keefe, Donie Buckley
Limerick - Mickey Ned

I seem to recall Breheny, taking a break from bemoaning the emptiness of Croke Park on big rugby days in D4, saying that Tyrone have never had an outside manager. In football.

John Donnelly managed Tyrone in the 90's.
