The reality is that with the prevelance of ex Armagh players as managers and the strong possibility that we will be involved in the latter stages of most provincial and AI club championships, this was one of the few chances that Paudie would have to ref a big game.

The only questionable decison he gave was booking 6 instead of 11 and it wasn't a clear cut call either.  Just enjoy your days on top of the tree, trust me it could be the only one.  St B's got the run of the ball this year that winners need to win a championship.

spoken like a true, bitter Mayoman.
would ya not just say well done to a Roscommon team for winning?

If I remember, they gave the 'Mayo champions' a lesson in playing football. Even though the Mayo champions are all Roscommon men. Funny that.

That post deserves a facepalm neilthemac  :P

ok then.
a bitter Armaghman.

I don't know everyone's history around here.
the only broken crossbar I've ever seen was down in Castlebar.

Cross were beaten fair and square.

Your post doesn't come across as bitter. but why the need to write that bit in bold?

Because instead of enjoying the moment, Syferous is more intent on complaining about the referee and a single decision which had no bearing on the outcome of the game.  It could be the only chance that they have to enjoy it.

highorlow

There is no point in been bitter about this. The reality is that club football is the only chance that senior Roscommon football will ever have of celebrating in Croke Park.

So let them enjoy it without any bitter Mayo digs.
They get momentum, they go mad, here they go

Fair enough, but you made your point without sticking that bit in.

I think you're reading too much into that ziggy90. BCB is just stating the obvious, and with his background he obviously knows how hard it is to do it again and again, so I'd take it at face value. Enjoy it because it's bloody difficult to do it again.

ziggy90

I'm not reading anything into it, as you say he is "stating the obvious", I'm therefore wondering why he had to state it. It's no big deal.
