Have to laugh at the notion that Mayo lost because of complacency. Its as if Mayo can turn on the style at the flick of a switch if they really want. Maybe they just lost because they didn't play well enough. However Deegan handed the match to Tyrone with the awarding of that penalty.

Tyrone should be easy fodder in the summer, but it does show slack starts will let midrange teams challenge one of the big 4. Tyrone did well, fair play to them, mad celebrations in O'Neill country tonight.

The ref had given Mayo 2 very soft free's before the penalty.

But they were both frees - soft or not. Tyrone defended hard and on the edge. They also get away with occasions when frees could easily be given also.

Well if your reading of the rules has them as both frees then it was 100% a penalty. Ref in first half had given Mayo a few handy frees and then ignored a blatant foul on O'Neil when he was pushed over. Definitely don't think the ref cost Mayo the game.

Shaping up to be a good League with 5/6 teams really competitive.

Nerve wrecking game to watch. Never like Tyrone playing Mayo, especially away. Aways seems to get one over us. The final 5 minutes, plus injury time was really tense stuff.

An important two points for us today, sets us up nicely for Donegal in Omagh.

Very good T Fearon- like the gag. But let's keep a hold on reality here & not let this remark gather momentum. Penalty awarded with 15 seconds of inj time left. The big question is why did Horans men get a further few minutes & the chance to equalise?
