Anyone see the County hurling Final in Galway today on TG4. Has to be one of the worst performances ever by any team of officials. Johnny Maher now gaining hero status!!!!!

What would that No 14 need to do to get sent off there. :-\

Aye couldn't believe that, two wild pulls after winning the penalty and then tripped a player after scoring the penalty.

I commented on this in the hurling threads, the only reasoning I can put on Maher staying on the field is that it was his uncle refereeing,  huge dig into a St Thomas' lad after winning the 21 yard free, then following it up with a one handed belt across the arm of the next lad to come his way all in full view of the referee, who then went to ask his umpires but on return still awarded the free in an not a word to the bould Johnny who then bagged it but still wasn't happy, bounced off another St Thomas lad before kicking another on the ankle, still in full view of the referee.

Brian Cody will want that referee the next time they play Tipp  ;)

Must have had a €50 bet on wiht the ref that he would get sent off.

Pure madness, what was the referee at? Crazy crazy stuff
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought. Ea

Maher only got married friday.. either it was the refs wedding present to him or the wife has his head wrecked already!!!

I'd say he was banned from the seomra codalta until after final thus he was like a young bull in heat on the pitch.

Dreadful officiating in all fairness though, all joking aside. Should have been a straight red and the penalty reversed for a free out.
