Knock out stages of champions league this season have showed Newcastle,Chelsea,Tottenham and Manchester City to be out of their depth.

P.S knock yourself out @gallsman if you want to believe that.

Three of those went out against last four standard teams. Aside from Newcastle they all got the last 32 bye.

Is everyone who can't realistically win it out of their depth?

The absolute state of the English teams in Europe. You would be annoyed if Celtic were being dicked on so much but the premier league teams and all their money wtf

Wouldn't consider a team out of their depth when competitive in a knock out tie.

Group stage is shadow boxing. None of Tottenham,Newcastle,Chelsea and Manchester City was competitive in these knock out ties.

What's going on with Wissa and Woltemade at Newcastle? Never get a look in

Arsenal and Liverpool lucky to have handy opposition. Only Brits left now. Tottenham will be hammered out the gate later.

Farce of a competition having 6 English teams. Should be 3 at most. Only money racket now.

You didn't answer the question. Spurs aside, they were all playing tier 1 teams that may win the whole thing. There are few teams apart from other tier 1 teams who WOULD be competitive i.e. lose by a goal or or bring it to extra time. A nice draw and a so-called out-of-their-depth team could the last eight or even last four.

rodney trotter

6 English teams involved is ott. Finishing 5th in the PL and qualifying is nonsense. 4th place shouldn't really be there either. Europa winners is fair enough.

I answered it.  When qualified for the Champions League knock out stages the objective is to competitive regardless of what "tier" team they are playing.

Glenn Hoddle talking about giving goals away. You think he of all people would realise it's a lack of techical ability causing it. The team at the top of that league is like an NFL Special Teams unit. Barca could keep a beach ball off Newcastle in a phone box.

Terrible penalty from Salah.

He shouldn't have been given it. No confidence. Could have done with more out of that half given Galatasaray were overrun for parts of it.
