I didn't see the incident (and maybe that means I have no place to comment) however I did speak to someone who has no skin in the game who witnessed it. According to him it was no accident, McCann was taken out.

I was at the St.Galls game and I thought they were a sorry sight. Poor all over the pitch, never at the pitch of it, it was a proper hammering. Brigids were defesively solid, Galls were a defensive shambles.
Brigids will be in the shake up, terrific young lad at 11 called Quinn. Very impressive. Young Duffy good too and one of the Derry Downeys controlled the game from half back. Big improvement from Cargin game where they were too slow and sideways.



Absolutely thought young Quinn and Duffy really stepped up yesterday, brilliant footballers very smart on the ball rarely lose it, John Morgan looked very good yesterday to.

As for st galls losing burns is massive hindering to there attack such a brilliant footballer and leading for them.

A strike to the face when a player doesn't even have the ball is not a malicious act? Wise up! You clearly didn't see it live or the video of it. One of the most cowardly acts I have ever seen. And surely a severe retrospective punishment is in order if that's possible.

Agreed the ref and his officials lost complete control, biggest instance was the lead up to Mick being red carded, the moneyglass Nr7 runs in as a 3rd man . It's always stated the 3rd man is the worst as this is how rows escalate, He runs in and strikes Tom Shivers with an elbow resulting in him needing staples in his scalp, in full visibility of the umpire at the Tumbledown end. No punishment whatsoever for this. The umpire has a lot of questions to answer as does the referee from Tomas incident, again 3-4 metres away and gives a yellow card for a clear punch to the face which caused a serious injury. I think I wasn't alone leaving the ground on Saturday completely sickened with the sport.



Having SEEN it live and on video slowed down to make it look worse, tomas passes the ball at the last second as the number 6 couldn't of stopped his momentum to block the ball and in the video u can clearly see his fist isn't closed, in saying that it was a bad hit yes I'd agree but saying it was intentional is ridiculous to me,

Yes I totally agree no.7 should've been black carded as he was 3rd man in but as I said the referee made a balls of it, both teams were very rough not just a one sided affair coming from a neutral no connection to either team,

What are you smoking? Tomas had handpassed the ball away about 2 seconds before that and he came in and hit him in the face, where the ball was no where near in the first place. Duffin knew what he was at

2 seconds is very inaccurate. Thats a fraction of a second, hes made a balls of the tackle, totally accidental from an honest player

It was a very deliberate low act from a player who then later in the game headbutted Mick twice as for the moneyglass no.7 it was simply cowardly I would say he was proud of himself later that evening nothing but a complete coward not to mention being a horrendously poor footballer

Did pg1 take the foot off the gas to early vs Sairsfields.

If Aghagallon beat them and Lamh dearg put a tanking on Sairsfields which could happen going of past 2 games,

Pg1 could be kicking themselves,
In saying that Aghagallon need to step it up a gear to beat pg1 but very possible

I'd would say smashing a man's face in and and splitting someone after charging blindside with an elbow is a bit far so yes a coward and a poor footballer is accurate enough

I'm not usually very active on this but have got caught up with the weekends posts now seems to have been some drama. Judging by comments the Cargin folk seem to feel very hard done by. I've witnessed the refereeing in Antrim get worse season after season and I'd imagine this drama has all resulted with the referee failing to control the game. And don't get me started on that a**hole who done the TNN Dunloy game, I've been sent his post on social media surely gets a suspension.

The royal family of Antrim football Cargin don't seem to have taken it to well that moneyglass put it up to them. Swings and roundabouts as I've seen plenty of nasty work from the Cargin team over recent years, so maybe do them no harm getting a taste of their own medicine. Any word on Mick's suspension and how many games it will be? You'd imagine if Mick has got a red he's definitely done something wrong as he's the most protected player in the county. Never like to hear of a player getting injured and have to wish speedy recovery to Tomas.

Only game I seen this weekend was our lads up in Corrigan. St John's are going under the radar and are definitely not a team you'd want to meet in the knockouts. Young Conor hand was outstanding.

In the event of 3 teams finishing on 4 points it becomes a 3 team mini league. Scores against Sarsfields will have no bearing on outcome.
