Forfeit the wexford game, who gives a toss about it anyway.

Aye that will work...

Round or stuffed

It's not about going to both games its about the minimum level of respect for club and county that they aren't in direct competition with each other, you just wouldn't see that happen anywhere else

So if I found dates of games in other counties on the same day their county team is playing would that make your statement wrong?

I haven't looked but I'm sure counties don't close down cause their team is playing.. it's less than 0.01 % of the playing membership, and if we can only muster 400 at Corrigan for home games, you are encouraging we stop all the club games?

I'm sure you've your ticket booked!

Btw when is the match? Sat or Sunday?

sorry, I'll rephrase, you can be sure any county that takes themselves seriously wouldn't be at it

and for clarity, I think 4pm on Sunday is fine, as it doesn't clash directly with the game

I posted a response to similar points a few weeks ago.
The county set fixtures out in march (late enough in my and a lot of people's opinion).
That allows clubs and players to plan as much as possible for all issues. Let's cover a few such as pitch availability, weekends away, family occasions such as first communions and christenings, travel for work.
In fact it gives clubs a good scope of time to contact other teams for agreement should they wish to move a specific fixture.
Now that the CCC in Croke have set a fixture on a Monday prior to a weekend you want the county to switch all fixtures?
Imagine they done this to the 16 fixtures, 32 teams and approximately 500+ players involved on Monday night or Tuesday.

I seen the 8 minor games, never bothered to go as far as LGFA, Camogie or divisional board games and go games.
I was hoping my point came across without that but as you say maybe best to provide as much info as possible so when the application for the role goes in they have full knowledge of the landscape

TBH from what I can see many many people don't have any interest in Antrim v Wexford in the Tailteann Prelim Q Final. Let the club season keep going without interruption, it is up to Antrim as a county to ignite a bit of interest in future seasons in the county teams fortunes but this season its gone, again.

Lár na páirce 1

St Mary's v TNN- home win 3+

Creggan v Cargin-home win 4+

Galls v All saints- home win 5+

Rossa v Aldergrove-away win 6+

Ahoghill v St Paul's-home win 1 point

Glenravel v Lamh Dhearg-home win 2+

NB v Dunloy-home win 8+

St John's v Casements-away win 3+

Honest question, how many people would know when Antrim play or more importantly, how many schoolkids would know?   Igniting a bit of interest at a young age would go far but appears to be absent in a lot of Primary Schools. The odd Half time seems to be the extent of promotion. Tyrone, South Derry and Armagh kids are well informed on the dealings of their counties. Our kids could barely name a player.

Spike whilst I can get your angle here and agree with it to some extent, but if a child of mine landed home with their new Antrim jersey autographed by some of the 'stars' I'd be less than pleased  ;D

Entertaining game in Creggan this evening. Cargin worthy winners.

Ahoghill are going to do it again and stay up, massive win for them.

The rest of the games looked fairly predictable apart from Whitehill getting a point in Armagh.
