Apparently every time a European final has been played in Munich a new name was added to the European cup can history repeat itself. The way Chelsea came through the Barca games maybe their name is on the Cup already?
A another new name added in Munich.

On the balance of play best team on the night lost but for sheer work rate & never giving up it's a deserved CL win for Chelsea. To all the Chelsea fans here enjoy! a night you'll never forget.

The key to success is to be consistently competitive -- if you bang on the door often it will open

Where's Tony when you need him?  Congrats to Chelski.

Having witnessed Chelsea defend their way to a CL trophy, Man City have announced Jim McGuinness will be managing them next year.

dont particularly like chelsea but fair play to them - they kept plugging away. just shows how far commitment, organisation and discipline can get you. the bayern manager should be sacked for hauling muller - muller was the best player on the park in the 2nd half. wtf was he thinking? he should have hooked ribery or robben who were having stinkers. also if robben didnt want to take a pen against casillas what was he doing taking one against cech?

BTW congrats to norf tyrone!

Aaron Boone

5th English club to win the big one, first from London.

Line Ball

Delighted to see them win. Well done

But will Abramhavic be happy?  Well done Chelsea.  DiMatteo for England manager after the Euros.

Has Chelsea's European cup win overshadowed Manchester City's league success?

From the Bunker

There were only two clubs pissed off that Chelsea won tonight - Bayern Munich and Tottenham Hotspur. Man Utd have not thought of the competition since before Christmas.

it was written in the stars, just meant to be this year, their worst team in maybe 10yrs and they bring the big one home, munich be sick but it was nice to see them win after numerous semi finals defeats with lesser teams than them when they had a great team,
