Ya its a great one!  :)

Although it annoys me the the only lyric people sing is ...
"You sc**bag, you maggot. You cheap lousy f**got"  ::)

Christmas music reminds me of groundhog day. Must be the easiest time of the year to work in radio

they have a song they play ad nauseum in america every year, its about a boy who wants to buy shoes for his mother before she dies at christmas, sickeningly poignant crap meant to pull at the heart strings, I vomit when i hear it if i cannot knock it off.
I like dean martin and martina macbride duet of "baby, its cold outside"

Chris Rea's Driving Home For Christmas is a great tune for me. Really gets you in the festive mood  :)

I like these.

John Lennon, Merry Xmas (War is Over): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z1zm4E9d1oo

Greg Lake, I Believe in Father Christmas: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yQ1-a3wgvBU

Slade, Merry Xmas, Everybody: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H6YbLZf8i5I

The seventies were a golden age of Christmas songs (and Slade are a very under-rated band).

I've a lot of time for the Fairytale, but I don't love it. I think it's because it's got two tunes in it, and the total always seems less than the sum of its parts. My favourite Pogues song, and one of the greatest songs ever written, in any genre, ever, is this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u1m3q9mQN-s. For the romantics in the audience, like the man says.

Happy Christmas.
