Yep O'Sullivan was only 23 year last year, well i guess Domican is one of the few who has leadership qualities and is therefore most qualified for the role no matter what age

Do yis work off the 'Captain has to be from the club champions' system?

Nope that would be a Castlerea Man then

Can't wait to see Domican lifting Sam in September.

Well you got to see him lift up the Tom Markham Cup a couple of Septembers ago but he wasn't captain  ;)

Ronan Flanagan Cavan captain 2009/2010
would only be around 22/23 mark.

Philip Clifford was 20 when he captained Cork as they reached the All-Ireland SFC final in 1999, though he was only standing in for Bantry Blues clubmate Damien O'Neill, who got injured after the first game of the championship against Waterford.

Brian Corcoran was also 20 when he captained Cork hurlers in 1993

5 Sams

Who was the youngest historically? Spillane was only 20 when he lifted Sam instead of Mickey Ned when the Doc tried to remove his head in 1975..

#9
Jack Lynch captained both Cork teams in 1939 at the age of 21/22, he was also hurling captain in '38

Edit: Not sure if it counts, but when Seán Óg Ó hAilpín made his Cork debut in the famous game against Limerick in 1996, he was the only Na Piarsaigh (county champions) representative on the pitch as nominated captain Mark Mullins had been brought off.

He had turned 19 only four days previously.

Shamrock Shore

Slightly off point but Kerry's Mick Spillane is the only person (open to correction) to make his senior championship debut in an All Ireland final where he won a meggal in 1978.
