See the match is down for 2, presumably minors starting at 12.15........that'll mean an early start. Can the locals confirm whether the Craigavon Bridge would be a bit of a bottleneck before or after the game? Thinking of going up through Cookstown and Dungiven and taking the Foyle Bridge and parking in the city centre (say Bishop St) and walking over to Celtic Park.
Would that be sensible or not?

minors at 12

There's the pre-match pints fucked.  :(
As I dream about movies they won't make of me when I'm dead

Teams will probably be named tomorrow night

Armagh team more than likely to start

1 Paul Hearty
2 Andy Mallon
3 Brendan Donaghy
4 Barry Shannon
5 Paul Duffy
6 Kieran Mc Keever
7 Finnian Morriarity
8 James Lavery
9 Kieran Toner
10 Charlie Vernon
11 Aaron Kernan
12 Gareth Swift
13 Brian Mallon (I would like to see Jamie Clarke here)
14 Stevie Mc Donnell
15 Ryan Henderson/Stefan Forker

that would be my team onionbag. I'm a big fan of JJ Clarke but having only ever played about 10 minutes of senior county football, I think his role would be better defined as an impact sub on Sunday. sometimes when players come on the scene and start games early, they might not get much of the ball etc and it knocks them back (see Tony Kernan vs Cavan in 2008). Coming off the bench, JJ will be raring to go, the game will be in full flow and I think it will suit him. He will be a sure starter in the near future regardless of the number on his back on Sunday.

Onion Bag

You have a good point there eire, plus it will put the others under a bit of pressure to perform knowing that he is standing waiting for his chance.

A 100% fit clarkie
Stevie
and jamie clarke would make a great FF line

i would keep Brian Mallon, if Jamie Clarke was to start it would have to be at the expense of Henderson or Forker for me.  I think he will start McDonnell, Mallon and Forker in the full forward line.  Henderson for me just does not cut it.  ( i hope be scores a bag full on sunday and proves me wrong but i cant see it)

Onion Bag

I thought Henderson played better than Mallon in Dublin, every ball that went into him he got it, and thought he was hard done by to be taken off, (And he also scored a fantastic point)

Henderson may not be Stevie but he adds alot more scoring threat than Mallon. Mallon does not do it for me in any way, i cant even think of 1 single match when he has ever run riot or even cointributed massively. Its a North Armagh thing where they rave about him, sorry dont buy into it and can count himself very lucky to be used as sub on Sunday never mind start. Hes been about long enough now that he should be contributing more, considering the impact Mackin and Clarke had when they came on in the league final. Hope he proves me wrong too, but id go with Forker, Stevie and Henderson, all capable of geting 1 or 2 scores to back-up Stevie 1.10! With Clarke, Hanratty and Tony Kernan in the wings

The more i think about this game, the more I think Derry are going to get beat.  Armagh have a settled side playing well. Whereas Derry have injury problems at the back, a midfield that has not performed recently at all, and a misfiring forward line that depends on a couple of individuals to make a difference. Armagh by 5pts

Don't agree with you Border Rabbit...I'd be one of his biggest critic's at times  but the lad has ability and is playing in a FF line where they all feel they have to give Stevie the ball everytime they get it. after the last match in Croke i thought he'd had a poor enough game until i watched it on the Monday night again and as someone pointed out he won every ball that went into him and laid it off for a score, i know you're judged as a forward with what you score yourself but he did set up plenty of scores from his play and i believe it should warrant a start on Sunday.

In saying that Ryan might not be the strongest or bravest and O'rourke may think Derry may well have a few welcomes for him (know what i mean) and may well start some of the bigger men (which i don't think he should as the players get plenty of protection these days from the refs)

i think border rabbit was talking about B Mallon there illdecide, not Ryan. I'd say after directly setting up 5/6 points at HQ against the hallions Henderson is a good thing to start on Sunday.
