I see were your coming with it, but I can understand it at Christmas time. I know a few people who would stock up with drink before Christmas and it would usually do them most of the year round espically with spirits. You don't be long racking up a few pound especially if your buying a few different bottles of spirits or even a few Bottles of good wine. So a trip across the border at this stage would prob save a few people a right bit. And at a time of the year when every penny counts.

How much is a 10cl or 70 cl bottle of smirnoff vodka in the south?  Do many people come up north to buy their booze?  Is there a market to fill the transit with spirits and flog them over the border?

Hows this for a bargain, for thirty dollars I joined a double bubble club that runs from October 1st through March 30th. For that I get two drinks for the price of one, I also get 5% back on every dollar that i spend and I also got a baseball cap and get a free steak dinner during the month of my birth.

The guinness is very, very good as Hurl can attest to and over her more and more bars and restaurants are doing this to attract new customers. 2 pints of quality guinness for a fiver, where else could ye get that kind of deal.

You just show your drivers license to them in your birthday month and they take care of it. This includes anything on the menu so you can have Steak or anything you want.

I have been asked to work a couple of nights a week up there and I will as soon as the smoking ban kicks in on July 5th. It is located at the Woods Golf Course and the food is great, the staff are top notch and I get to play golf for free all season, thats why I am going to work there.

No, it means I take customers to lunch there or sometimes dinner and it means I drink guinness twice a week now instead of once a month. I think that the wife would have something to say if I was drinking every night root.

Up the Harps, I will be pulling for ye all year long root.  ;D
