(Sadly it seems like this is a thing)

If they continue to charge £9 the quality would need to improve

Umpire hit with an umbrella after the game, and called a cheating b****** by players. should be a couple of suspensions handed out

Loughgiel have removed their social media post after the numerous comments below it verbally attacking the referee. Couple of well known former Antrim and All Ireland club winners involved also. I wonder are any of the players questioned. Who sat back and allowed Cushendall the opportunity to get back into the game. Quick 65 to an unmarked player. Pass to Ryan McCambridge who was unmarked. Blocked shot which dropped to McAfee 21m out nobody overly close to him either

Na Glinntí Glasa

I was at the game on Sunday and there was no ill feeling towards the ref or his team at any stage. There was no calls that were being complained about that would get the crowd foaming at the mouth - much like they were at full time.

Mark called the game fair and gave frees to both teams during the game that each side probably felt was 'soft'.

Loughgiel should of won the game. They were the better team for 60mins of this match but blew it themselves. They have only themselves to blame and to try and pin it on a referee/linesman/umpire is, well an easy way out of where it lies.

At 3 points up in injury time Loughgiel missed a scorable free. With the next ball out Cushendall won a free and put it over the bar, rather than panic and go for goal.

Regardless of what you thought of the 65, and i had no idea myself from the distance away, Loughgiel went completely to sleep. They allowed Cushendall not one, but two passes of the ball to work it in for a chance. Criminal defending, and it presented a shot on goal, that somehow went into the net.

Smash and grab, or fluke it was called. No, it was the mark of a team that didn't panic and backed themselves to work the opportunity to have a shot on goal.

After the final whistle was a disgrace. we all can lose our heads a bit but to attack someone online and personally is not on. The fact that the club had to take down the full time post due to some serious accusations by some people needs looking into by them.

I wish I was as articulate as yourself. That's it in a nutshell.

It does but will never happen, it's rinse and repeat until they decide to tackle it.

Agree 100%

Saffrongael

Loughgiel ones are mental in fairness so it wasn't overly surprising
Let no-one say the best hurlers belong to the past. They are with us now, and better yet to come

Wouldn't be first time they struck an official. Anybody remember Billy Reid in Dunloy a few years ago?

Where is it going wrong with us in Belfast at underage level?? Only one team in the division one minor A championship, a result that was a complete farce (St Paul's on the end of a 40 point drubbing at the hands of a depleted cushendall side)
With all due respect to St Paul's, they're trying to make in roads, more so than the rest of the west, but not allowing the u16s to play will teach them nothing, coupled with 2 birthday parties the night before involving the squad, promotes in children, the wrong priorities and these attitudes along with plenty more, will keep the city streets behind the country teams. The odd flash in the pan does nothing to aid the cause, merely papers over the cracks. Begs the question, what was the actual workings or point, of Gaelfast?? Jobs for the boys...

Dont see the U16 point to be honest. Were St Pauls ever going to win a minor A champ? Possibly not. Have the coaches exposed their minors to A level hurling in preparation for senior/reserve next year. Bring in five u16s to play in front of these lads and heighten the chance of pissing them off and them not coming back

And there, in a nutshell, is one of the main problems: we aren't going to win, so why compete. Playing competitive matches against better opposition brings players on, sitting on the bench or encouraging them not to play, will not.
They've exposed them to it in some games, choosing not to turn up in other games.
Set an example. Risk them not turning up or walking away?? Then they were never going to contribute going forward. Blinkered thinking.

Going by the league table there has been two games not played. St Pauls arent the only ones not to fulfill all games. It depends how you view underage. If St Pauls minor manager can pass off all the players he inherited to a Senior manager next year after playing grade A hurling fantastic in my opinion

Duine Inteacht Eile

Is a key factor not that they are in the U16 final tomorrow night?
