Shit weather meant for not pretty football, but it was compelling viewing. Superb afternoons sports, well done to the Cats

Whats the story with Fevola? Some player but seems to be a troublemaker off the field..looks like Carlton want to get rid of him?

Carlton got rid of him - one alcohol fuelled incident too many.

Apparently Collingwood keen on him, according to Eddie Maguire.

Nothing like a wee bit of cross-town rivalry to boost the coffers.

Well, Rocca is practically finished and Medhurst and Davis are too small, so Fev would be a good choice.  Plus, only Collingwood could afford him over there.

Freo don't want him :P

Talk of Brisbane Lions going for him too.... That'd be some forward line up with Brown and Bradshaw!!!

I think he might be a good fit for the Swans, but Roos ruled it out. I suppose it kind of goes against their no dickhead policy

Aerlik

Swans got rid of one twat but at least he behaved himself off the field.  Mind you would you want to argue with Hall?  I wonder if the Footy Show will keep Fev on.  That show is an embarrassment to every male in Australia.  Boorish and sexist are two descriptions I would give it, but James Brayshaw needs a good kicing.  As for Shane Crawford, dick of the highest degree.

the GAA should bring in this kind of thing. It would be good to see big joe diver stuck up on stage

must have lost a bet. f**king state of that.
It won't be the next manager but the one after that Meath will become competitive again - MO'D 2016

Haven't heard any more about Colm Begley, but his chances of a place in the first team at St.Kilda will be under even more pressure due to the Saints picking up Peake from Freo( :'() and Lovett from Essendon, making that one helluva a great midfield area.

Fevola has gone to Brisbane Lions, and he'll be joining arguably the best forward in the comp, Jonathon Brown.  All they have to do now is get the ball up there.

the real slim shady

Looks like Fev mightn't be going to the Lions after all...

THE Brisbane Lions' bid for Brendan Fevola is on the brink of collapse.

The proposed deal with Carlton is in danger of being sabotaged by Michael Rischitelli's reluctance to join the Blues.

The two clubs hoped to exchange Fevola for Daniel Bradshaw and Rischitelli, but Rischitelli is believed determined to continue as a Brisbane player, despite heavy courting by Carlton officials in Melbourne yesterday.

A Brisbane official said last night: "The deal's off."

Barring a change of mind overnight by Rischitelli, Fevola's choices now seem confined to a late bid from Sydney Swans, or a return to Visy Park.

From the AFL website:

THE BRISBANE Lions have snared one of the biggest deals of trade week, securing Brendan Fevola and pick No.27 in the NAB AFL Draft in exchange for Lachie Henderson and Pick No.12.

More to follow.

From Realfooty.com.au

EXCLUSIVE: Brendan Fevola has become a Lion after the completion of the trade period's blockbuster deal.

In the deal, Carlton will receive young key position player Lachlan Henderson and Brisbane's first-round draft pick, number 12, in exchange for Fevola and Carlton's second-round draft pick, number 27.
