Ye gotta love the Johnny rebs on here harrumphing about a travel document, same ones no doubt watch eastenders, support chelsea, beat off over page 3 and think the Rock of Cashel is a sweetie

British passport opens more doors in commonwealth countries, especially down under, less cockin about with visas

Sorry to disappoint you Fishbat. Don't watch any of the British soaps, don't follow soccer and never buy The Sun, The Mirror and such newspapers. Not because of the British thing, just that they are rubbish.

I like Doctor Who though, but it's Welsh I guess ;)

Or maybe your just trying to salve your conscience about having your British passport!  ;)

None, but don't like to see folk flashing it like its some sort of exclusive club.

Irish passport does not entitle you to IEP visa's as far as i know for down under or Canada, but hopefully that will change

I think that northern Nationalists getting British passports and using the excuse "it's handy for x, y, z," is a cop out.  You are entitled to Irish passports.  Sure aren't British soldiers only ordinary fella's dressed up in a uniform, sure isn't the Union Jack only a piece of cloth etc.  You can excuse anything you like, but it doens't make it right.
