Perspective is needed here.  More outrage at France banning the burkini than the fact that they are being worn because there is a religion out there that treats women as second class citizens and as some sort of sexual object that is so dangerous that they need to be covered up.  There hould be more reaction in our media to important issues such as all the women who are stoned to death, beheaded or murdered by their own father for not wearing the hijab.

Nude beaches dead on but wemen cannot wear certain clothes, wise up, more to worry about than women actually covering themselves up on a beach.

Armagh, the one true love of a mans life.

Crazy and totally reactionary, the theory behind it seems to be for security reasons, pretty much every attack by an "Islamic" fundamentalist in the West has been without any attempt to get away, why would you want to hide your identity when you are attempting to die anyway.

It's fascistic to be telling women what to wear and maybe even worse so telling them to wear less clothes.

The threat of Cultural Invasion is a nonsense, if it wasn't for "cultural invasions" we might be living lives Gaelic and Free in caves and mud huts. Anyone that considers this a problem, should be petitioning to Close down all GAA clubs and facilities outside Ireland otherwise it's hypocritical.

I think it is telling that you associate things Gaelic with living in mud huts.

Are you also in the DUP?

My point was civilization was created by the sharing of ideas methods and cultures, without this we all would be thousands of years behind.

And for the last few millennia organised religions of one sort or another have been trying to shoe horn people down their narrow view of the world.

Muslim extremists are no different to any of the other religious fanatics that went before them, killing in the name of a god.

I agree and we've home grown religious fanatics do the same, I've no time personally for any religion.

The spread of culture however gave us engineering, agriculture, democracy and literacy to name a few, was it all good certainly not but it was far from all bad.

Why do the French keep f**king themselves over? Are they really that stupid? The court overturned the decision but the damage done is irreversible. That image of the armed police forcing a Muslim woman to disrobe is undoubtedly the biggest recruitment poster for jihadis imaginable.
