Bizarre experience coming up into Mountjoy Square last night, from Croke Park.A couple,in their late 50s,stopped me and the male asked if there had been anything on in Croke Park.I thought he was being facetious,as it was obvious that there'd been something on,so I said there'd been a few games. He asked if Dublin were playing, I said no, to which he replied and I quote, "Good.I don't want to be running into any gurriers!".

I was taken aback by this. The couple were locals and northsiders I assume.Would this be a prevalent view of the Dublin team's followers, among the non GAA fraternity on the north side even, that they are "gurriers"?
