Aaron Boone

Great for Sligo Rovers & maybe Derry City but Shamrock Rovers will find it massive to win the league from here.

It's the rallying call of Irish soccer (the people who hold monster rallies to celebrate being dumped out of the World Cup) - "we're not as bad as we thought we were". The stuff to inspire a nation.

Sorry mate but I think you are at least 20 years late with that analogy, wait, where's the Rovers homecoming taking place, exactly.

I hit a nerve there. Truth can be painful at time.

Another thing I really love is the amount of people I've never met who presume to know my every thought, what "gives me a horn" and what kind of person I am. Ye should take a look at yourselves, its actually hilarious when you read it back. It's all too typical of our society where every gobshite regardless of knowledge level puports to be an expert on everything. In no surer way can we see how this board is a microcosm of real life.

C'mon the candystripes!

Rubin Kazan this evening.
Philip Greene RIP would be very proud.

One game to go zero points, it's been fruitless adventure for Shamrock Rovers.

Getting there was the big achievement they were always gonna struggle to get any points against clubs with bigger budgets and better players.
Anyone who isn't a begrudger will know and understand that.
Hopefully Irish clubs will qualify for the group stages of these competitions more often now that Rovers have made the breakthrough. The next step then is for Irish clubs to start winning games in the group stages.

Never know, Liverpool might even qualify next year and Big Andy might even get a goal ;)
