And the fact he was trying to be too clever and build codes into his letters might explain his combination of words.

My code breaking is a biteen rusty but it either predicts the bailout of AIG or that the next Pope will be a Taig.

Apparently they spell out Amino acids and the initials of those represented his message "For New York".
