Never bloody happy:  :o  ::)

The interim agreement between the GPA and the GAA has hit its first major stumbling block with opposition in Cork, writes RTÉ's Gaelic Games correspondent Jonathan Mullin.

Tuesday night's county board meeting on Leeside saw a robust debate on the historic announcement with the majority of those who spoke on the topic opposed to the deal.

Only one delegate welcomed the new link-up between the two associations.

Cork's delegates have been sent back to their clubs to find out their views before the county board mandate their Central Council delegate on how Cork will vote at next week's Central Council meeting.

'There was quite a lot of opposition to the deal with the GPA and clubs felt they needed to go back and consult with their members,' said board PRO Ger Lane.

Last weekend's announcement of official recognition for the GPA and €1.6m in funding needs majority backing from next spring's Annual Congress.

They are right this time. The GAA throwing that shower a million euro was a joke and it was sneaked thro without any debate.

 Good to see a change in the operation of democracy by our neighbours . Not so long ago clubs would not be consulted on such matters  ;)

The Peoples republic has gone democratic ? ...they'll be rolling across the border in their trabants and dodgy mullets next ala East Germany circa '89.
