Class Demonstration

I have to present a half hour mock up classroom situation teaching in some area of IT.  I teach a bit of it anyway so it's not a big deal, but with about 15 others having preceded me (in different subjects), I'm looking for ideas on something that might just entertain. I can choose to teach ANYTHING IT-related - any bright ideas out there? (And no, I don't think showing them how to find porn sites would help my assignment marks!)

Wasn't aware that that was a particular speciality of yours 

How about how to edit Wikipedia (depending on the ages involved)? Or basic HTML?

I never said it was a speciality, just thought it would be the first thing some of the bright sparks on here would think of

Tell them all about Windows 7 - Microsoft's  new operating system or maybe some basics of a programming language.

How about searching google to find answers on IT related problems?

WHat about knocking something up like recording, editing and publishing a video on YouTube within 1/2 an hour i.e. video a quick skit at the start from the students - take into video editing software, show them how to do something easy to modify their video - then show how to upload onto YouTube/Facebook etc. within the half an hour. The countdown might just keep them entertained.

With my working hat on, this is an excellent suggestion.  Not sure of the context you are working in but this suggestion is so in touch with the type of thinking that is needed in ICT teaching.
