You are a lot braver then I would be......re useable nappies ....system...sounds like back to the 70's and washing small towel nappies that weigh a tonne and take up a hole laundry room and the whole house smelling like 1 great big nappy.....I reckon yes they are good for the environment , but the hassle would be too much and I am not too sure on how much you will save ...maybe cash but what about time and the stink of the house ????? Not for me I'm afraid ....although I do wish I there was an alternative to massive nappy landfill ...something a bit more biodegradable for a start.

Nah they're like these things:

Basically you have a fleecy outer layer shaped like a disposable with velcro strips and a liner inside to pick up the pooh. The liner gets flushed and the nappy goes into a sealed bucket for washing. The only thing is that one nappy is probably about the same size as half a dozen disposables.
