John Hughes RIP

Sad news that John Hughes, the director of many coming of age movies such as Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club and Pretty in Pink has died today.

What can I say, enjoyed his movies lots.

Very sad. Would say most people on here grew up watching Uncle Buck, The Great Outdoors, Planes, Trains and Automobiles, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, The Breakfast Club, Home Alone etc. Some real classics.

This guy was a great director, his films were a major part of my childhood and they are still great today. Will watch a few of his classics tonight in his honour, RIP.

Agreed, heard this morning about his death, was actually on Wikipedia the other week seeing what films he was doing in the near future.
