Moving to Dublin next year for work, and so I need to get myself a PPS number. Been told the closest place to get it for me is the tax office in dundalk.

Anyone tell me where abouts in Dundalk the tax office is? (Street names etc will help).

Cheers!

It's the Social Office:

Dundalk
Government Buildings, St. Alphonsus Road, Dundalk, Co. Louth
(042) 9392600    9:30 - 16:00

Coming from the north:

Take Ballymac exit off motorway
Follow signs for Dundalk centre
Pass the race course on your left
Cross the bridge
Pass the docks on your left
There are two sets of traffice lights only 30 yards apart. Take a right at the 2nd set of lights
Travel 20ish yards take a left
Tax office is the second entrance on the left.

Thanks for the directions, but I'll be getting the Enterprise train. Can't be bothered driving.

If at first you don't succeed, then goto Plan B

Sorry to bring this up again, but going for this tomorrow and need some info.

From Dundalk train station, is the Social Welfare place far? Walkable?

If not, whats the best/easiest way to get there? Taxi? Bus? If so, how much likely to cost?

Are taxi's just ones ye wave down or do you need to book? If it's a bus, what bus number will drop me off closest to it?

Many thanks in advance.  :)
