Some interesting comments about Dillon, but I think he will make the championship team.
However in his absence its heartening to see other guys step up to the plate and take on some of the responsibility. When he does come back, with a little less pressure, it may free him up to cause more damage and score more from play rather than assume the playmaking role.

Going by recent form Andy Moran and Seamus O'Shea and both nailed on to start in the half forward line IMO if they keep up the form until the championship.

That leaves 1 spot for Dillon, Harte are Trevor Mortimor to fight it out for. I know it's along time away yet to be speculating but it'll be an interesting battle. And who's to say someone else may stake a claim to a spot in the meantime. Dillon would be my bet to get the nod although Trevor Mortimor as captain will hardly like being on the bench.

The full forward line is anyones bet....Ronaldson,Conoreen, Kilcoyne, Varley,Aidan O'Shea, Barry Moran, Freeman, Douglas,

Not a bad position for Mayo to be in, considering dropping Trevor Mortimer.

I'd stick with Mortimer from what Ive seen so far. Dillion should have to win his place back onto this team.

i don't know lads but come the summer Dillon has to be on the team if he is not then we must have a bloody strong team . i know some posters are saying that he has to win back his spot but crikey he is probably mayo's best player and has been going non stop the past 6 or 7 years and is entitled to his winters break. i can't imagine any of the kerry posters saying the same  when gooch or galvin took a winter off from playing football in fairness to Dillon all that he has missed is 2 matches.

Killer has had the surgery. The collar bone takes alot of time when it's been broken twice, comes back too soon he'll break it again very easily.
Harte is working abroad at the minute as far as i know but is due back soon enough.

I assume Mayo will beat New York on October the 10th. Question is, who'll make the starting XV and how much will they win by?
Inaugural Football Championship Prediction Winner.

Assume nothing. New York should have beaten Galway. Mayo are in a poor state.
