Can I ask a genuine question? Does anyone in here know any gay fellahs? And if they do, do they know, or in anyway appreciate what it's like to be gay and therefore be bullied, humiliated or victimised as a gay lad? I ask the question as I think that the whole gay question in Ireland is obviously swept very much under the carpet.

We must have the biggest carpet in the world given everything that we have swept under it.

Yeah, I know a few.

We are a truly backward nation...as big Sigmund Freud said "This is one race of people for whom psychoanalysis is of no use whatsoever." Suppose that wouldn't be good for Iris' mates curing clinic!

It is very slowly going the rite way though. Even the reaction to Brady shows that the church's behaviour will not be tolerated any more... that is progress.

Maybe I'm wrong here, but it's mainly the older generation that has a problem (or feels uncomfortable) about homosexuality. I don't know too many of my generation that do, except for the odd posts I read on the board.

I think that is a fictional quote aired through the movie 'The Departed'.

That is very well said. There are some people who are uneducated who don't understand why some people are different and react to them with violence. It's the same in a jungle or the zoo. If an animal doesn't understand why another animal is difference it goes beserk and tries to eat it. The other animal, having done nothing wrong, runs away. It's the same in Shaftsbury Square on a Friday night. And let me tell you this, the men chasing the gay members of our society make the same noises and smell the same as those in the jungle.

It got me thinking today that the animal population probably have the same representation of gays. When we know for sure, I wouldn't be surprised if prosecutions are carried out against some animals for homophobic attacks on other animals. It might only be a matter of time.

Whatever O'Neill.

Glad you are tortured by either your sick conscience or a sick mind.
"Something wrong with your eyes?....
Yes, they're sensitive to questions!"

ONeill

Ok, I take it that's aimed at me in some way. I can only be relatively honest and say I haven't a notion what you're on about. ( I said this after the armaghforsam boyo but it makes no difference). The 'real' posters are having a rather elongated laugh, whoever they are!
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.

Sorry, for one fleeting moment, O'Neill, I thought you and 'Olly' were one and the same. Severe mea cupla.
