Can I ask a genuine question? Does anyone in here know any gay fellahs? And if they do, do they know, or in anyway appreciate what it's like to be gay and therefore be bullied, humiliated or victimised as a gay lad? I ask the question as I think that the whole gay question in Ireland is obviously swept very much under the carpet.

Maybe I'm wrong here, but it's mainly the older generation that has a problem (or feels uncomfortable) about homosexuality. I don't know too many of my generation that do, except for the odd posts I read on the board.

That is very well said. There are some people who are uneducated who don't understand why some people are different and react to them with violence. It's the same in a jungle or the zoo. If an animal doesn't understand why another animal is difference it goes beserk and tries to eat it. The other animal, having done nothing wrong, runs away. It's the same in Shaftsbury Square on a Friday night. And let me tell you this, the men chasing the gay members of our society make the same noises and smell the same as those in the jungle.

It got me thinking today that the animal population probably have the same representation of gays. When we know for sure, I wouldn't be surprised if prosecutions are carried out against some animals for homophobic attacks on other animals. It might only be a matter of time.
