Saying the day that's in it..... Worst sports get together/World Cup/competition

For me it is the so-called Commonwealth games.

Countries who still are within the British empire and those wishing to hang onto the status playing sports to prove they are the best in such a grotesque empire really annoys me. These games came about to prove to the world that those within the British empire are somewhat superior to the rest of the world. It was a 'celebration' of sporting colonialism and imperialism.

On the fact has any athlete withdrawn from these games because of the above reason?
