I remember visiting the big museum in Chicago a few years back (can't remember the name of it) they had a separate titanic exhibition that you had to pay something like an extra $20 to get into, the queues were round the block and the souvenior peices of coal from the boilers were selling like hot cakes. I remember thinking flipping heck all this in a land locked (if you don't count the lakes) American city with no connection to the titanic and i'd came from the place it was built and there was feck all in the way of tourist attractions linked to it.
Personally i'd love to see a titanic mk2 built as a floating luxury hote,l you'd have yanks flocking to stay on it (actually i'd flock to stay on it).

under the bar

Surely with the video projection technology available now they could project a full scale titanic somewhere in the docks as a centre-piece of the Belfast night skyline?

or even have a themed swimming pool

What about a total immersion video game at the centre. Avoid all the hurdles in the Atlantic, with the main hurdle at the end - the Iceberg?
