Brit Sunday Times. Top class journalism and enjoy their GAA articles in the Sport Section - usually well researched and from a unique angle.

I used to get the Irish News in Birmingham, but a day late.
Reading the Sunday Times from cover to cover in peace is one of life's simple pleasures. Does anyone else have an order they read it in or is it just me? I start with In Gear on the throne cos it's a small supplement, Travel likewise if I'm in no hurry, then off the throne and onto the main paper, sport, news review, generally only read the back of Money, business and appointments doesn't get touched. Magazines are left til night time in the order of Style, Sunday Times mag then finishing the lot with Culture on the throne again before bed.

Sport
Magazine
Main front bit
Culture
News Review
Business
Same as you just the back of Money....just to hear all these lying b**tards say that they pay their credit card bills off in full every month ;)
In Gear
Travel

The rest goes in the blue bin straight away
Aye and they take 300 quid a day out of the cash machine. Must be a dear sandwich at dinnertime! Lines of coke and a hooker maybe ;)

Irish News & Irish Star - Mon - Sat
Monday Herald - Mon
Tyrone Times - Tue
Tyrone Courier - Wed
TUlster Hearld - Thurs
Dungannon Observer - Fri
Sunday World & Times - Sun

Need papers to light the fire in the evenings. Always take joy in burning the courier for some strange reason.
Have to say I will be cutting back on the papers ..... recession and all that

Doogie Browser

Irish News Mon - Sat
Gaelic Life - Friday
Sunday Times - as others say half of it goes in the bin right away.

I do sneak a peak at the Daily Mirror at work to be honest, just to see who is shagging who out there, a man has to be informed of such matters you see.

gerry

I use to get a daily paper but get all i need to know on the net now. I still get the GL each friday and the times on a sunday if i have time to read it.
God bless the hills of Dooish, be they heather-clad or lea,

Mainly sport I get papers for except on Sundays.

Mondays I'd get the Irish Times and/or The Irish Examiner. Times has the best writers, Examiner doesn't miss a heartbeat - cracking paper. Tuesday the three local papers.

Wed/Thurs/Fri if I'm buying anything it'll be Times/Indo/Examiner or Mail and choice will be dictated by any articles of interest. Gaelic Life on Friday as well.

Saturday if its championship time I'll buy a stack - Times, Examiner, Indo, Mail and Irish News.

Sunday The Sunday Times and the Tribune every week. Times is just a monster and I've given up on trying to get through everything. Tribune have the best GAA coverage of a Sunday and nice, light and breezy news stories. Might buy the Sindo if they've anything good in sport but wouldn't even use the news to clean up the dog's shite.

Oh and the Observer for the Sports Monthly - cracking mag

Must try the Examiner again. Thought it had the potential a while back to become a decent national but it didn't seem to shake the Cork thing.

On an aside, a mate of mine from Lurgan has a great copy of a Brit red-top from the '70s, think it's the Mirror. On the inside is an air-brushed version of the famous Fr Daly photo of him coming out of the Bogside with the fatally injured Jackie Duddy on Bloody Sunday. The hankie is missing as are the people carrying Duddy and below is the caption "Priest attempts to hold back rioters in Londonderry".

Would like to see that photo, I had heard this happen with the mirror scum but have never seen the photo. Can anyone post it.

The Times and Daily Telegraph online mostly for sport.

Nothing better than a load of papers when there is nothing else to do.
it's 'circle the wagons time again' here comes the cavalry!

Brilliant! Why am I not surprised? Do my best to avoid the red tops at all costs as while they might be ok for trivial or easy reading, they then completely lower the tone on some sensitive issue
