I am not going posting anymore of them posts as my twitter feed is now riddled with far right nut jobs like him, I apologise to anyone else who clicked on the links and is similarly inflicted.

i think it's important to see *some* of this kind of thing to see what is going on in certain spheres. Within reason though.

Why not just delete X, you will be happier! Leave all the crazy Far Left and Right crazies to it. You are fuelling fringe views by lamenting about it. If our political leaders are worth their salt the centre ground will soon dominate the discourse and fringes become irrelevant again. At least thats the way its supposed to work. Any leadership material coming through the ranks?

In the GE in November, the fascist parties got no more than 2%.
I presume PBP would be l considered "far left",- I can't recall their vote but it can't have been much more than 2% also.
The extremes may be big on social media cesspits but not in the real world.
Play the game and play it fairly
Play the game like Dermot Earley.

I must have missed all these beheadings on the news. Unless RTE News are part of an establishment cover up  :o

100%, Social media and the media in general and indeed weak political leadership are great at creating the illusion that the extremes are in any way relevant.
Nothing to see, back to work.

The For You part of X is an absolute cesspit. I use it to create lists of some really good coaching accounts and I like it for that but often when I log in it defaults to the for you part and I see a couple of posts of nonsense before I go to my own part of the site.

I have it out of habit fir Sports but TikTok, FB and Insta all have plenty of depressing stuff.

My boss does be giving out about Insta going a bit right, but then they are flat out commenting on Gaza and other news things, and having back and forth.

My Insta is sport, dogs and orcas a lot too!

Your man Noone got caught up in the rage bait bit a man who makes a living on TikTok should know the craic of how the algorithm works.
them mysterons are always killing me but im grand after a few days.sickenin aul dose all the same.

His cancelling didn't last long then - back posting yesterday

You can't really be cancelled from social media. It's whether you have the ability to ignore the abuse and not let it get to you.

I used to write for a Spanish football website and posted a video once about how Messi had failed to track a run in a match and the lad ended up scoring. next thing I have folk wishing cancer on my mother. The internet is a crazy place.

FB especially has been pointless for a long time at this stage.

It's a bit like the early days of internet (usenet, chatrooms, early forums). There was always the lad who was a regular poster, then would dramatically announce they were leaving for good after some big argument got out of hand, a few other posters would lament his leaving, and then sure they'd be back again posting a week later as if nothing had happened.
