That's a tough group...

Atletico, Liverpool, Porto & Milan

Capt Pat

Tough draw. We will still make it out of the group but it could have been easier.

Be grand.

Group F & G looks like a Europa League draw

Capt Pat

AC Milan have Ibrahimovic at 40 and Simon Kjaer the Danish centre half. Their quality goalkeeper Donnarumma left for PSG in the summer. They shouldn't be a threat.

Big names in Liverpool's group but it looks harder than it actually is, shouldn't have any issue qualifying for next round really.

Getting AC Milan in the group makes the draw look tough, but there is a reason they were in pot 4. They have 7 European cups but this current Milan team is nowhere near winning a European cup. This is a European cup winning Liverpool team. There will be no problems for Liverpool.

Jurgen Klopp's six-time winners Liverpool are arguably in this season's hardest group, along with La Liga champions Atletico Madrid, Portuguese club Porto - winners in 1987 and 2004 - and seven-time European champions AC Milan.

Liverpool beat Milan in the famous 2005 final in Istanbul, but the Italians gained revenge in Athens two years later.

Yeah surprised by that.

That is disappointing against 10 men, but not the end of the world. It keeps us competitive in the race for the title.

It's three games in... at Xmas you'll have a better idea
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought. Ea

I'd be happy enough with the point against a superbly organized, top class team, but Liverpool ran out of ideas in the last ten minutes. Partly because Mane was very well marked and not exactly sharp (Robertson was a bit rusty too, understandably). As with the centre backs last year, Liverpool could regret not strengthening up front and having another option to come on and change things, especially if Mane doesn't get back to his peak form.
