Lads, similar sort of question. Was working for 3.5 months there and the tax man cleaned me out. Not working at the minute and was wondering what I would be entitled to get back.

Paid about 900 in tax from October to Feb. Having left College in July I wont have crossed the new tax threshold but was taxed at that rate. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'm living in the occupied six btw

Thanks

Based on that limited information I will hazard a guess that you were on a W1/M1 tax code and you would receive any tax paid back again calculating back on the £900. Fill out a P50 repayment form (google) and get your money back. As for the tax man cleaning you out for the princely sum of £900, thats a debate for another day. Welcome to the real world.

Thanks for that Mac. Aye this real world carry on isnt all its cracked up to be...and when you're used to the taxman paying for everything its different when its going the other way!

Does anybody know if you get all the red out of the tank and put clear in is that all you need to do to get rid of any trace of red?? also does your name be in the paper for being caught?! &do you have to pay the fine on the spot? Is it still £500?? would apprecicate the knowledge of some of you more experienced ribena users ;)

Doesn't matter, if you're caught you'll be the talk of the country anyway! ;)

Where abouts in Carrickmore? Town centre?

My 'friend' was due to travel through there this evening, but may have to have a change of plan..

They were outside the Dean secondary school on the Pomeroy side of the town. I'd say they'll e covering everywhere around the town at some stage today.

Never seen the roads as quiet, no one had left their houses since Sunday!

Drive on the green myself, wouldnt chance the red unless doing big miles in the south. Have heard reports that the Customs in the 6counties cant do you for driving on the green as technically you are not defrauding HMRC of the excise as you wouldnt have bought the diesel in their jurisdiction anyway, and therefore HMRC would not have received any tax on it. Works the same with the Red when in the South.

Have never heard of anyone getting a fine for Green in the North, in fact have been with people that get dipped and get away with it, apparently its difficult to tell apart from the BioDiesel in colour and needs lab testing to determine what it is sometimes...makes it harder for them too if you mix a wee bit of clear in aswell.

I would always carry a receipt for clear in the car anyway...make sure to take one out of the aul dolls car every now and again!! ;)

Have heard some reports that all the games are off. Can anyone shed any light on this?

Tommy Joe will be rubbing his hands at this...or else it's a shrewd move from the Queens management!

So is Tyrone. The best way for it IMO. Makes championship football count for something!

Unbelievable. I saw him play for Cork IT in the Sigerson semi-final against Queens at the Dub in 2007. The scores he put over that day were unbelievable, Queens couldnt afford to foul in their own half at all. Only he had to go off injured that day I'd say the result could have been different! Serious threat from the dead ball
